Dark moments for the Standard Model?

چکیده

A bstract If dark matter (DM) interacts with the Standard Model (SM) via kinetic mixing (KM) portal, it necessitates existence of portal (PM) particles which carry both and SM quantum numbers that will appear in vacuum polarization-like loop graphs. In addition to familiar ∼ eϵQ strength, QED-like interaction for photon (DP), some setups different graphs these PM states can also induce other coupling structures fermions may come dominate at least regions parameter space take form ‘dark’ moments, e.g., magnetic dipole-type interactions IR, associated a large mass scale, Λ. this paper, motivated by simple toy model, we perform phenomenological investigation possible loop-induced dipole moment fermions, particular, electron. We show level such scenario not only be made compatible existing experimental constraints significant range correlated values Λ U(1) D gauge coupling, g , but lead quantitatively signatures once DP is discovered. setup, assuming complex scalar DM satisfy CMB constraints, where decays invisibly are found somewhat preferred if limits from direct searches LHC our model setup all taken seriously. High precision for, or measurements of, e + − → γ process Belle II shown provide strongest future on scenario.

Coupling dark energy with Standard Model states

In this contribution one examines the coupling of dark energy to the gauge fields, to neutrinos, and to the Higgs field. In the first case, one shows how a putative evolution of the fundamental couplings of strong and weak interactions via coupling to dark energy through a generalized Bekenstein-type model may cause deviations on the statistical nuclear decay Rutherford-Soddy law. Existing boun...

Bounds on the Tau Magnetic Moments: Standard Model and Beyond

We obtain new bounds for the magnetic dipole moments of the tau lepton. These limits on the magnetic couplings of the tau to the electroweak gauge bosons (γ,W,Z) are set in a model independent way using the most general effective Lagrangian with the SU(2)L ⊗ U(1)Y symmetry. Comparison with data from the most precise experiments at high energies shows that the present limits are more stringent t...

investigating the feasibility of a proposed model for geometric design of deployable arch structures

deployable scissor type structures are composed of the so-called scissor-like elements (sles), which are connected to each other at an intermediate point through a pivotal connection and allow them to be folded into a compact bundle for storage or transport. several sles are connected to each other in order to form units with regular polygonal plan views. the sides and radii of the polygons are...

Dark Matter in the Finely Tuned Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model

We explore dark matter in the Finely Tuned Minimal Supersymmetric Standard model recently proposed by Arkani-Hamed and Dimopoulos. Relative to the MSSM, there are fewer particles at freezeout, so the calculation of the relic abundance simplifies. Similarly, the predictions for direct detection of the dark matter sharpen. There is a large region of mixed bino–higgsino dark matter where the light...
